Update for Construction Industry Outreach Trainers
Required every four years for personnel in the private sector who have completed Course #500 Trainer Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry and who are active trainers in the outreach program. It provides an update on such topics as OSHA construction standards, policies, and regulations. 1.7 CEU’s; credits to be assessed.
Note: If a trainer’s authorization has expired, the trainer has a 90-day grace period after the expiration date to take OSHA #502. The 90-day grace period is designated to allow for unexpected circumstances. After the grace period, a trainer’s authorization may only be reinstated by retaking OHSA #500 course, with proof (minimum of trainer card) of prior authorized construction trainer status within the past 14 years. If a trainer’s authorization has expired, they will be unable to conduct outreach training and receive student completion cards.
